We want to thank all the artists for their participation in the 2021 Weston Scholarship Competition. We had 85 scholarship entries and, as always, it was extremely hard to select the winning portfolios. This year has been extremely difficult going virtual and we are just so thankful that our photography students persisted through the hard times and still continued to take pictures. Huge shoutout to our teachers of Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties for supporting their students during these times and encouraging them to enter the competition. The quality of work seems to continually get better which is a treat to see!

If your portfolio was not selected this year, please don't be discouraged and please continue practicing your photographic process. Art is in the eye of the beholder. Zach always tells his students to not be discouraged, as he has entered numerous photographic competitions and never gets selected. Not being selected does not lessen the value of your process and photographic eye.

If you have any questions about your entry or would like any help improving your skills please let us know. We are in the process of opening up our community Headquarters in Seaside and can't wait to get back to in-person instruction. I hope you will stop by the lab once we are open. Again, thank you for your participation and we wish you the very best.
