The Facing Seaside V Opening Exhibition at the Oldemeyer Center was a celebration of student creativity and community pride. Students showcased photographs capturing the spirit of local businesses, filling the space with meaningful images. Families gathered to support and celebrate, many expressing how proud they were to see their students’ images displayed in a professional setting. A highlight of the evening was the recognition from both state and local government officials, who gave certificates honoring the students’ achievements in the Facing Seaside V project. The event not only showcased artistic growth, but also affirmed the importance of youth voices and the impact of community-centered arts education.
