Gum Bichromate Workshop with Brian Taylor
May 29 - 31, 2020

This is a class for artists and photographers of all levels. The techniques presented in this class allow us to print photographs on alternative surfaces like watercolor papers and even fabric, which can be displayed as finished works of art or used in handmade books, collage, painting and drawing. This workshop will cover a lot of ground including demonstrations, slide presentations, viewing prints, and plenty of hands-on time with individual instruction to explore the process and produce your own artwork. We’ll begin by creating a cyanotype on watercolor paper and then methodically print layers of colors resulting in unique, handmade images that are the direct result of your imagination and desire.

Advanced skills in digital or traditional darkroom photography are not assumed or required. A complete Student Materials List as well as a Course Handbook will be sent to participants before the workshop starts. Class is limited to 8 participants.
