Ohana will be a warm, welcoming facility that embraces nature: it features abundant natural light and outdoor meeting areas. The program fills the urgent need for high-quality mental health services for the youth of our community. Ohana is named with the Hawai’ian word for an extended social-support system (family, close friends, colleagues and communities of belonging).

ABOUT

Submit your photographs to be considered for inclusion in the “Art Library” at Ohana, Montage Health’s new youth mental and behavioral health facility, opening at Ryan Ranch in spring 2023. This one-of-a-kind facility will provide innovative, self-empowering mental health services for youth across the greater Monterey, Salinas and Santa Cruz areas. Youth in residential care at Ohana will be able to select artworks from the library to hang in their private bedrooms. This is an opportunity for your art to have a positive impact on your peer community. Photographs will be reviewed by a jury of professionals, who will select ten images for $200 purchase awards. Jurors include Dr. Susan D. Swick, executive director, Ohana Center for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health and Ann M. Jastrab, executive director, Center for Photographic Art.
