The Weston Collective once again hosted a semester-long opportunity for local analog photographers to gather, learn, and create. Led by instructor Nadia Gutierrez, several returning artists and some new faces spent their evenings delving into all aspects of photography, from developing negatives to creating and mounting silver gelatin prints.

While each artist’s body of work was varied – street photography, landscapes, long exposures, multimedia exploration, transformational textures, multiple exposures, abstract portrayals of everyday visuals, and examination of familial history – the collaborative environment of the community darkroom was the thing that truly shaped the work displayed this evening.
